SUP will operate on a not-for- profit basis, investing any surpluses back into the Press for the benefit of all member institutions.

All monographs will go through a rigorous peer review process, managed by an Editorial Board of academics from across participating institutions. SUP will offer a supportive peer review experience.

Retain copyright
Authors retain the copyright to their work, and the book is made available through a Creative Commons License.

Low production charges
SUP is supported by subscriptions and in-kind contributions from member institutions which allows the Press to deliver low production charges in comparison to commercial publishers, saving funders and institutions money. SUP aims to uncover the true costs of digital publishing and to be open and transparent with our costs.

Print and Digital Formats
Your book will be available in both print and digital formats. Books are printed on-demand so will not go out of print. Digital books will be freely downloadable in PDF and Epub formats, complying to all accessibility regulations. SUP aims to maximise the opportunities of digital publishing.

SUP offers the full publishing experience for authors. All books will be copyedited, typeset and proofread to a professional standard.
